Anniversary Weekend at Ironworks Hotel

A few weeks ago, my friends (Hollie and Jordan) and I got the chance to visit a new hotel here in Indianapolis called Ironworks Hotel. It’s BEAUTIFUL! I feel like Indy NEEDED something like this and I can’t think of anywhere else in this city like it. We checked out one of their suites (with the coolest rooftop deck) and grabbed dinner at Provision (a restaurant that’s attached to the lobby).

I LOVE this little dress (also available in more sizes here)! It looks like a sheer shirt with a velvet dress over it but the whole thing is attached. It’s such a pretty color for Fall/Winter and I’m planning to wear it again to one of our Holiday parties later this year.

The whole time we were there I kept thinking, “Man, Kent would LOVE this place…” We are both huge fans of smaller, boutique hotels like this, and the modern, industrial decor reminded me so much of his office. I was also secretly feeling guilty that both his birthday AND our anniversary were earlier that week and thanks to work, my New York trip, and celebrating Rocky’s birthday, I still hadn’t even picked up a card for him. :/ #badwife

I knew they were still in the “soft opening” phase of the hotel, but Ironworks graciously allowed us to come back that weekend for our anniversary! Woohoo! The hotel is located about an hour from our house, but it’s really close to where my sister (aka best babysitter) lives so it was the perfect little get-a-way.

Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL?! The decor gets an A+++ and so does the staff. Seriously, the nicest crew.

The location is perfect too. We didn’t do any shopping this trip, but there’s a ton of good spots in that area if you wanted to go.

We DID however take advantage of the ideal food situation. There’s multiple restaurants within walking distance so we never even had to get our car out of valet. We walked to Ruth’s Chris for Dinner and Yolk for breakfast the next morning. #yummmmm

Sidenote: I had a few DM’s about this duffel bag. We both use it and love it. We got the leather version about a year ago and it was great. Unfortunately on our last trip to Nashville, my parent’s cat used it as a scratching post. :/ So we ordered another one and this time picked the canvas version. I think I might like it even better! The quality is great and we got multiple compliments on it. It’s a good gift idea if your man is hard to buy for (like mine).

After my crazy (aka sleepless) week in New York, it was nice to just have a quiet, relaxing night with this guy in such a cool place. Definitely check out Ironworks Hotel if you’re headed to Indy or need a Staycation!

Will you please share moto leggings in one of these photos – link no longer valid – perhaps they are the same ones in the “germs/house cleaning” post? Thanks – congrats and the hotel looks fab!
