I spent last week in Florida with my boys and my sister. We took the boys to Legoland and then spent a few days at the beach. I travel so much for work so it’s always nice when I can take them with me on a trip.
A few weeks ago I was actually on a little work trip back in my ‘ol stomping grounds of Indianapolis. I was shooting some stuff for my blog, my friend Hollie’s blog, and then we were shooting some stuff together for Vici Collection. We were taking pictures in downtown Indianapolis so I immediately knew I wanted to stay at the Le Meridien Indianapolis! I have stayed there before (you can see more pictures on my post here) and I absolutely love this hotel. Between shooting boudoir and weddings, I think I’ve been in all the downtown hotels in Indianapolis and this one is hands down my favorite!
We first stayed here for a little staycation last year when we were attending a concert in downtown Indy. It’s right in the middle of the city so it was super close to our concert venue and near where we wanted to go for dinner. There’s a Starbucks next door, you can walk to tons of restaurants and it’s even attached to the mall so the location is ideal.
On top of that, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s in a building that’s like 100 years old so it has a ton of character, but it’s been completely updated it with cool mid-century decor. I just love the vibe in there. Since I was going in February and knew it’d be freezing outside, I really wanted somewhere with bright light and a pretty interior so taking pictures indoors would be an option. We shot in the lobby, the restaurant (Spoke and Steele) and even our room. Everywhere was just so picture perfect. For any of my brides who haven’t booked a suite yet for their wedding day, the Le Meridien would be amazing. The rooms are so bright and pretty for the “getting ready” pictures, and if the weather outside is terrible, their interior would work for portraits too!
Ok enough talk, let me show you what I mean.

This is the lobby! It’s so bright and pretty with the coolest decor. They have a big fireplace and lots of little seating areas for lounging.
And this was my room! It was super spacious and had the prettiest view of downtown Indy!
