Okay if you watched my instastory, you already know we welcomed a new member into our family last week…isn’t she a little studded beauty?! Haha! I have been dreaming about this bag for so long now and I’m SO HAPPY to announce that I finally got my little paws on one. Kent was not giving me the emotional reaction I needed when I introduced him, so I took to stories to share her with y’all. You guys totally came through and went nuts fawning over how perfect she is and I couldn’t agree more. You also had a ton of questions about which bag this is and how to get one so today I’m giving you all the info here.
So this is the Gucci Dionysus Studded Shoulder Bag. I saw it on Somewhere Lately’s Instagram account a while back and fell in love with it. I think it’s the ideal mixture of chic, edgy, western and rock ‘n roll. Plus I didn’t have a black designer bag, so I quickly decided this one would be the perfect addition to my closet. Only one problem, it’s sold out everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Gucci is no longer making them and I couldn’t find one online or in any department store I visited.
Last week was my birthday and Mother’s Day, so I decided to treat myself to a new handbag. I looked online but I just couldn’t find anything I loved as much as this studded Gucci one. I typed the name in my search bar again, hoping I could find one somewhere and sure enough, one popped up for sale on eBay! I’ve had lots of friends purchase designer bags on eBay before, but I never had and honestly, I wasn’t exactly sure how the whole process worked.
Thankfully, eBay has an authentication program for luxury handbags that totally put my mind at ease! There’s a whole section on their site with tons of bags that have been verified by experts and are guaranteed by eBay! They have Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Celine, Fendi, Dior, Prada, and many other designer brands. The nice thing about looking somewhere like eBay, is that you can also find vintage or discontinued bags like mine too!
My bag arrived in two days and showed up with it’s dustbag and paperwork looking brand new! I am so happy with it! And Kent is happy that I was able to get it for less than the full retail price haha!
