Hey Everyone! Whew! I’m back from a whirlwind few days in Charleston, South Carolina. We went there this past weekend to celebrate my best friend’s Bachelorette Party. It was a blast.
I did a horrible job of keeping up with my DM’s and comments while I was there, so today I’m playing catch up. It seems like so many of you are also planing trips to Charleston this Summer, so I thought I’d put together a quick blog post answering your most frequently asked questions!
I had no idea that Charleston was such a popular destination for Bachelorette parties! My Uber driver was telling me how many they have there and it sounds like they’re giving Nashville a run for its money. I totally believe him too because I saw 5 or 6 other bachelorette party groups at the Charleston Airport the day we left too! Honestly I can see why. The city is beautiful and we felt so safe the whole time we were there. There’s a ton to do and the weather is hot, but definitely not miserable.
I had a few questions about my travel outfit on the way to Charleston so everything is linked here! My sunnies are only $16! They have been sold out for a while but they’re back in stock right now! And this romper is so comfy it legit feels like pajamas.
The question I got more than anything was “Where did we stay?”. We rented an air bnb and I’ll link it for you all here. It was absolutely beautiful and we loved all being together versus split up in a bunch of hotel rooms. The location is right in Downton Charleston too so it’s super convenient to get to restaurants/shopping/clubs. It’s about 20 mins from Foley beach if that’s on your agenda.
I also got a lot of questions about where we ate while we were there so here’s the run down!
Miller’s – This place was adorable! It has really cute, retro decor with a Photo Booth you can all pile into. They serve an amazing brunch throughout the day/week and had a really fun cocktail menu!
One Broad – Another breakfast spot downtown. Not as “Instagramable” as Miller’s, but the food was delicious and it’s right by “Rainbow Row” if you want to walk there for pictures afterwards.
Magnolias – We went here for dinner and it was amazing! Really good Southern food and Seafood. You’ll probably need a reservation for this one.
The Griffon – highly recommend if you like Fish and Chips!
Carmella’s – This place might have been my favorite. It’s a Cafe and Dessert Bar. They have amazing desserts, plus a really fun coffee and cocktail menu. Highly recommend stopping in here!
Unfortunately I didn’t keep track of the bars we we too (thanks tequila). I know we started at “The Watch” which is a rooftop bar on top of the Restoration Hotel. After that we just strolled down King Street and stopped into a few places with live music. King street is where you want to go if you’re looking for bars/clubs.
Linking up our “Party Crew” gear here! The quality of the shirts was great! I will say the company we used to make our hats screwed up. We were all supposed to have the “Captains Style” Hats and they sent me the “Sailor Style” instead. Just saying…
The company we used for our boat ride was called Saltwater Cycle and we had SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommend them!
I had a few questions about these night out looks too. Unfortunately Kelsey’s green dress is 4 or 5 years old and no longer available. 🙁 The good news is my black one is still in stock and 50% off right now!
We had so much fun in Charleston and I already want to plan another trip there. I’ve been three times now but Kent still hasn’t so I’m thinking we’ll take a couple’s trip there soon. Hope this post helped answer you questions! If you have any I missed feel free to leave them here or over on Instagram!
