The Eyeshadow Palette you need right MEOW

Good Morning Babes! I’m so excited for today’s post!

I cannot believe how many of you noticed on my InstaStory that I had changed something with my eye makeup routine over the past few weeks! I started using this new eye shadow palette at the end of last month and I got so many DM’s while I was in Indiana and at Kent’s Graduation asking about what I was using on my eyes, so I’m sharing it with you today!

It’s the

Kiss Me Karl Choupette Eyeshadow Palette from

KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO AT NORDSTROM!

There are 2 different palettes and mine is the color “Smokey/Burgundy”. I absolutely love wearing a “purple-ish smokey eye”. I remember reading in Cosmo magazine when I was a teenager, that purple eyeshadow works on any skin tone and eye color so ever since then it’s been one of my go-to’s! I dropped (and shattered) my other eye palette that had some purples in it recently, so I’ve been on the hunt for a new one. When I saw this one at Nordstrom last month, I knew I had to try it out.

I’m not going to lie, the packaging is half the reason I bought it to begin with. I mean how cute is this?! But I was so happy when I realized that I loved the colors inside too! If you scroll down you can see more detailed pictures of my finished eyeshadow look. There’s also a breakdown of exactly what colors I used and where I placed them on my eye.

Nordstrom is such a great one-stop shop to check out so many different makeup brands. The Karl Lagerfeld collaboration with Model CO is available exclusively at Nordstrom, so make sure you head over there to check it out and have products shipped to you for free!

Outfit Deets

Ok now onto my outfit! All the details are listed above! I am in love, IN LOVE, with this leopard skirt. It is so flattering and nice and cool to wear during the Summer. I’ve only had it for 2 weeks and I think I’ve already worn it 4 or 5 times. It looks so cute dressed up with a silky tank and heels,  or you can style it super casual with a graphic tee and sneakers. I even think this would be great for teachers going into the Fall with a chambray shirt and mules or booties. It’s only $55 and so versatile! I just can’t recommend it enough!

These slides have been a favorite of mine recently too (they also come in black). They’re right under $70 and just so cute and easy to throw on with dresses, shorts, jeans etc…they do run a little small so I recommend sizing up a half size!

Purple Smokey Eye

Step One:

First, I used the color “Sydney” to highlight my brow bone. I swept this color right underneath the whole length of my eyebrow.

Step two:

Then I used “Barbados” to cover my whole eyelid.

Step three:

Next I used the darkest purple color “Rio”. I took a fluffy eyeshadow brush and just went back and forth like a windshield wiper right in the crease of my eyelid. I also used a little extra on the outside corners of my eye to make an outer “V”. Then I took an eyeshadow blending brush and made sure the purple was really blended in so I didn’t have any harsh lines.

Step four:

Finally, I used the color “Vienna” on my lower lashes. I personally don’t like to put a lot (or any) eye liner underneath my eyes. So I usually just take a very small eye shadow brush, and blend a dark color eye shadow along my bottom lashes. It makes them look a little more defined, without having such a harsh line. The “Vienna” color on this palette was perfect for that.

And that’s it! I hope that’s helpful to y’all! I will link the rest of my makeup here in case any of you are interested in anything else I have on here. My foundation is the color “Tawny”, my blush is “Orgasm”, and my highlighter is “Champagne Pop”

A huge thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s post!
