Well folks, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, it’s #nSale time! One of my favorite ways to save money on my Fall Wardrobe, is to buy it in the SUMMER! It may only be August, but this is the time to get the best deals of the year on everything you’ll need for Autumn at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
I’ve been shopping the nSale for 4 years now and it’s hands down my favorite sale of the year!
After browsing the Preview this week (you can see it here!), these are the items I’m most excited about! Unfortunately it looks like A LOT of you are excited about these too so I’m guessing they’ll sell out fast! I looked back at what sold the quickest last year and so many of these items were on the list there too! Make sure if you’re looking to grab any of these you do it first!
I was able to try on several of these items today in the Nordstrom store and wanted to share sizing info with ya’ll here!
First up were these cutout booties! I absolutely love them! They did run a little small on me so I went up half a size. I’d recommend going up a half size, especially if you plan to wear socks with these. I got these in the taupe color and the snakeskin version!
Next up was this turtleneck tunic sweater, faux leather leggings and brown booties! All three items were on my top picks list and they did not disappoint! I ended up getting the sweater in two colors (runs big/oversized. If you’re between two sizes I’d recommend going down one). The faux leather leggings are so flattering and I can’t recommend them enough! I bout a new pair today because I’ve had mine for forever and I LOVE them so much. They are very tight so if you’re between sizes I’d go up one! I went up a half size on these booties too so I’d have a little room for socks!
I was really excited that they had this camel coat from my top picks in stores for me to try on today! It ran BIG and had more of an oversized boyfriend fit so I ended up going down a size in this one and I love it! They also had the white sneakers I wanted so I snagged those too!
These t-shirts are going to sell out FAST! They’re only $15.90 and great basics for wearing on their own now, and then layering under jackets and cardigans this Fall! They run pretty true to size but if you prefer a looser fit you could go up a size. I like my t-shirts baggy so I went up one size on this one!
These watches always sell out so quick every year too! I’ve purchased one the past two years and I wear mine daily! They are a huge splurge but the Nsale is the perfect time to grab one if you’re going to!
Our Nordstrom didn’t have the other items I wanted in stock in the store so I placed a big order online tonight! I know I’ve shared about how the sale works for the past few years, but I thought I’d do a quick recap just in case any of you are shopping it for the first time this year! Hopefully these tips and info that will make it more successful for YOU!
So WHAT is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? It’s a massive store-wide sale that Nordstrom has once a year. They have items on sale in literally every department like Womens, Home, Beauty, Shoes, Kids etc…
The best thing about it is HOW it’s different from other sales. Most stores place older items on sale at the end of the season, but not Nordstrom. The items on sale are all NEW ARRIVALS for Fall! They launch them at super discounted rates, and then at the end of the sale, the prices go up for the rest of the year.
The sale can be a little overwhelming, so it’s good to have a game-plan ahead of time. The first year I went to my local Nordstrom on the second day of early access and between the giant tents everywhere, the massive number of items on sale, and the crowds, it was kind of nuts. I grabbed a bunch of things while I was there, but I went home and did most of my shopping online from the comfort of my own bed that night. Nordstrom has free shipping so it’s so much easier and less stressful to do it that way. There were a couple of items I wasn’t sure about the sizing on, so I just ordered two sizes and then returned the one I didn’t need (They have free returns too).
Secondly, since there’s so much to go through, start thinking about what you’re actually looking for, or make a list of what you need. For me? I pretty much always get fall boots or booties, and any new denim I need. I usually look for a Fall handbag, some light weight and chunky sweaters, and a pair of new leggings.
Once you know what you’re looking for, it helps you to make a budget and pull the trigger when you see something you want. The tricky part of the sale is that items can go FAST and sometimes they aren’t able to restock them. EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR. I wear my nSale items all Autumn long and I always feel bad when my followers click on the links and are no longer able to get the exact items I’m wearing. If you see something you like – grab it! If it’s not as cute in person you can always do a free return both by mail or in the store.
