Happy Thursday Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Kent got to leave the Army Base for the Holiday, so we drove over to Rosemary Beach. We had the most amazing long weekend with our boys. I think I’ll work on a long recap post about our trip soon, but today I wanted to quickly share these outfits with y’all before they sell out!

Kent’s sweater and swim trunks are both from Nordstrom! I ordered them from Nordstrom because I knew they had free shipping and free returns and honestly I thought I might have to take them both back. His body has changed so much since he started his training in January. He has lost about 10 pounds and he told me to get him a large top and a small or medium in the bottoms (which makes no sense because he was a medium in both when he left). I really wasn’t sure if either of these would fit him but they both did perfectly! His arms and chest have just gotten so big the past few months (basically the only perk I have to him being gone :)).

Since our last trip to Florida was so chilly, I decided to pack a few sweatshirts this time that I could throw on with shorts in the evenings. I found this one in the Topshop section of Nordstrom last month and fell in love with it! It’s so soft and cozy and I love the bright pink color for Spring and Summer. It makes you look so tan! My shorts are from the Topshop department at Nordstrom too! Just FYI, they’re super short, but I love them for the beach or pool.

My sweatshirt says “Amore If you be mine, I’ll be yours”. There’s also a T-shirt version of it here. I thought today would be the perfect day to share it because 10 years ago today mi Amore and I got engaged! I can’t believe it’s been a decade! That just blows my mind!

Kent lived in Indiana and I lived in Florida the whole time we were dating. He had come to visit me that March and he went out to dinner one night with my Dad while he was there. I just knew he had asked him for permission to propose to me. We were planning a family cruise for my Dad’s retirement in early May (also the week of my birthday) so I was positive that’s when Kent was planning to pop the question. My whole family would be together, on the beach, probably on my birthday night, I could just see the whole vision of how it would play out in my mind. I already knew what dress I was going to wear and how I wanted to do my hair that night haha!

But on April 11th I checked my work schedule and saw that I had the next three days off work. I was texting with Kent saying I should of planned to come see him in Indiana that week and before I knew it he had booked me a flight for early the next morning. He picked me up from the airport and took me into downtown Indianapolis and pulled a picnic lunch out of his trunk. The next thing I knew he was down on one knee and I was in shock.  I don’t remember what he said, I just remember his hands were shaking so hard I couldn’t tell what the ring looked like but I said “yes” anyways haha!

Marrying him was the best decision I ever made. I can’t wait to see what the next decade has in store for us!

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s post!
